prof. JUDr. Jan Kříž, CSc.![]() Director of the Institute of Copyright Law, Industrial Law and Competition Law PF UK Born: 25. 11. 1950 in Turnov 1969 passed high school leaving exams 1970-1975 studied at the Law Faculty of Charles University (PFUK) specialising in Civil
Law and incorporeal goods 1975 gained the title JUDr. 1976-1979 internal assistant – academic training at the Department Civil Law and the
Institute of Copyright Law, Industrial Law and Competition Law at PF UK at the same time an assistant at PF UK to prof. Karel Knap 1979 defence of dissertation work and gained the title candidate of jurisprudence 1981-1983 intensive language studies at the Institute for Foreign Trade 1983-1984 research fellowship at the Max-Planck Institute in Munich 1985 appointed associate professor 1986 appointed director of the Institute of Copyright Law, Industrial Law and
Competition Law at PF UK 1990 alongside the continuing educational, academic and consultancy activities
at the Law Faculty of Charles University and along with performing the function of director of the Institute he
established the law firm Kříž, Bělina a spol. to date these activities continue to run in parallel 1990-1991 member of the Legislative Council of the government
of the Czech Republic 1990 to date continuation of the educational, academic, consultancy and publication
work within the framework of the Institute of Copyright Law, Industrial Law and Competition Law 1994 member of the Advertising Council 1996 President of the Advertising Council ongoing: participation in a range of domestic and foreign academic conferences, symposiums and seminars, some as an organiser or co-organiser, ongoing publication activities. 2000 appointed Professor of Civil Law at PF UK in Prague 2000 to date arbitrator at the Arbitration Court at the Economic Chamber and Agrarian
Chamber of the Czech Republic 1991 to date partner in the law firm Kříž and Bělina |
