Partner of the Czech Participation in EXPO 2005 Aichi

"From bicycles via motorbikes to passenger cars", this is how we could sum up the century-plus history of this industrial plant in MladŠ Boleslav (established in 1895), and its subsidiary factories at Kvasiny and Vrchlabí.

Za completely new chapter in the companyis history opened on April 16, 1991, when the Government of the Czech Republic and the Volkswagen concern founded a joint venture. This particular decision was taken upon mature consideration on both sides.
As a result, the Volkswagen concern figured - at that time - as the biggest foreign investor in the Czech Republic. VW has invested in four stages as much as 2.05 billion DM, becoming an exclusive 100 per cent share-holder of Škoda Auto a.s. in May 2000.

Focused primarily on the quality, top performance and safety of its products, Škoda Auto is also noted for its emphasis on environmental protection, on raising labour productivity and qualitative improvement of its services.
At present, the company produces three model series - Fabia, Octavia, and its luxury limousine Superb.

As the Czech Republic’s biggest industrial plant, Škoda Auto is well aware of its corporate responsibilities, and that is why it supports selected organizations and institutions in the field of arts, culture sports, and humanitarian assistance. Its criteria for selection encompass a whole gamut of values epitomizing current international competition – the skills of the Škoda Auto company, such as e.g. its commitment to top performance, tenacity, will to win, and team spirit.
