Ministry of CultureExpo 2005 in Aichi, Japan, will be certainly an important cultural event as well as an extraordinary opportunity to present the civilization development of individual countries worldwide. The Czech Republic, which won prizes in the past for presentations in its national pavilion, will again contribute to the organization of the world exposition. The contemporary generation declares its support to the best, which was realized in the world expositions in the past. The Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic participates in the EXPO 2005 World's Exposition on the basis of the resolution No. 217 of the Government of the Czech Republic of 3 March, 2003, at the level of specialist co-operation. Ing. Zdeněk Novák, the first deputy to the Minister of Culture, is the member of the advisory board of the General Commissar of the participation of the Czech Republic in EXPO 2005 and Mgr. Roman Musil, co-ordinator for the area of plastic art in the department of arts and libraries, is the member of the consulting team for the accompanying event named "Week of Plastic Arts". PhDr. Anna Charvátová, head of the department of arts and Lenka Lázňovská, head of the section for non-professional art – ARTAMA – will co-operate in the framework of another accompanying event named "Week of Czech Music". The Ministry of Culture is ready to play the role of a consulting body in the artistic areas, which will be presented by the Czech party in the world exposition in Aichi in the year 2005. Mgr.
