The CzechTourism agency is a contributory organization attached to the Ministry for Regional Development. The prime purpose
of the agency is to promote the Czech Republic as a sought-after and attractive tourist destination.
All the activities evolved by the CzechTourism agency are currently focused on supporting the following five major
tourist themes, namely:
The Magic of Castles, Chateaux and Historic Towns,
Healthy and Active Holiday,
Golden Prague,
Spas: A Place for Relaxation and Pleasure,
Ecclesiastical Monuments and Places of Pilgrimage.

while presenting the Czech Republic at trade fairs held both at home and abroad, publishing and distributing a host of flyers,
leaflets and other promotional materials.
One of the agency’s major tasks is to provide support to the individual Czech regions (by holding seminars and workshops,
regional presentations, by promoting rural tourism etc.). Another task in hand is to carry out market research and statistical
surveys on the subject of incoming tourism. Seen at the general level, the key task facing the agency CzechTourism is to raise
revenues from tourism by increasing the overall number of foreign tourists coming to the Czech Republic.
CzechTourism administers as many as 18 foreign representations (in Berlin, Munich, Vienna, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam,
Helsinki, London, Madrid, Milan, Moscow, Tokyo, New York, Toronto, Bratislava, Budapest, Zurich, Tashkent). Of no small
importance are the agency’s activities in education – CzechTourism organizes frequent trips for students of vocational school
as well as seminars and workshops for the professional public.
